Filozofická fakulta UMB získala spolu s ďalšími riešiteľmi z Českej republiky, Poľska a Maďarska grant z Vyšehradského fondu. Projekt Jazyky krajín V4 v súčasnej Európe. Jazyk ako prostriedok na vyjadrenie a formovanie identity (Languages in the V4 Countries of Contemporary Europe. Language as a Means of Expression and Identity Formation) sa bude realizovať v roku 2016. Za FF UMB na ňom participujú Dr. Anita Huťková (Katedra translatológie FF, hlavná riešiteľka), Dr. Ivan Šuša (Katedra translatológie FF), Dr. Eva Čulenová (Katedra translatológie FF), Dr. Ladislav Gyorgy (Katedra translatológie FF) a Dr. Anita Račáková (Katedra slovanských jazykov FF).

Do projektu vstupujú jazykovední a kultúrni pracovníci vysokých škôl z krajín V4 – z ostravskej, segedínskej a sliezskej univerzity. Orientovať sa budú na výskum miesta súčasných národných jazykov V4, s ohľadom na tlaky globalizácie a prenikanie ďalších svetových jazykov do štátov V4 (napr. angličtiny, ruštiny a pod.) Vo svojich výskumoch budú sledovať oblasti, v ktorých sa globalizačné jazykové tendencie a prenikanie svetových jazykov najviac prejavujú, a naopak, oblasti, v ktorých sa tieto tlaky prejavujú menej. Zároveň potvrdia podstatu jazyka ako jedného z výrazných konštituentov národnej a kultúrnej identity.

Projekt sa sústreďuje na výskum aktuálneho stavu vo vnútri národných jazykov krajín V4. Do centra záujmu vstupuje 1. spôsob prieniku svetových jazykov do krajín V4 – ich fungovanie a vplyv na domáce jazyky a 2. zmeny v národných jazykoch pod tlakom globalizácie. Jazyk je symbolom pamäti národov/kultúr/etník; je príčinou častých nedorozumení, ale i cestou k zmiereniu; je nástrojom moci i manifestom emócií; je prostriedkom na hľadanie, vyjadrenie i formovanie identity. Široké výskumné pole odhalí nové väzby, prieniky, ale aj rozdiely v situáciách jednotlivých jazykov. Sumarizácia poznatkov bude teda zaujímavá aj z komparatívneho aspektu. Ukážu sa aj osobitosti jazykových interakcií s presahom do kultúrneho rámca, lingvistické etnostereotypy a pod. Výskum zasiahne i oblasť prekladov z a do jazykov krajín V4: stratený v jazyku, nájdený v preklade. Predmetom výskumu sú teda jazyky V4 v najširšom význame slova (na úrovni langue i parole), vo všetkých podobách a v najrôznejších komunikačných realizáciách, či situáciách (ústna – písomná, verejná – neverejná, oficiálna – polooficiálna – súkromná, pôvodná – preložená atď.)

Súčasťou projektu bude aj medzinárodná konferencia, ktorá sa uskutoční na pôde Filozofickej fakulte UMB v septembri 2016.

The purpose of the present project is to ascertain the current state of research within the national languages ​​of the V4 countries. The research will include the following interest areas: (1) the method of penetration of the world languages ​​into the V4 countries – their functioning and impact on national languages, and (2) the changes in national languages ​​under the globalization pressures. A language is the symbol of the memory of nations / cultures / ethnic groups; it is the cause of frequent misunderstandings, but the road to reconciliation; it is the tool of power; it can manifest emotions; and it is a means of searching, forming and expressing identity. The detailed research will reveal new connections, overlaps, but also differences in the state of individual languages. This approach is therefore very interesting in a view of summarizing of knowledge from a comparative perspective. Also, it will reveal the particularities of language interactions of cross cultural framework, linguistic ethnostereotypes, etc. This research will also address the area of ​​translation from and into the V4 languages: “lost in a language, found in translation”. The intended aim of the research therefore seeks to examine the V4 languages ​​in the broadest sense (langue and parole), in all its forms and in all types of communication or situations (oral – written, public – non-public, official – semi-official – private, original – translated, etc.).

Visegrad feature of your project

The starting point of this collaborative project is an almost identical situation in the status of languages and literatures (probably even culture in general) in the V4 countries, which are, regrettably, often referred to as a "small languages / cultures / literatures". The V4 languages suffer from the same syndrome. What is its essence? How is the pressure of the world languages and cultures on the V4 languages manifested? We start from the hypothesis that a contemporary society appeals to the need to recreate its identity in a united Europe. Therefore, the research (secondly) provides answers also to the following questions: Does a language deformation lead to a deformation of the individual´s / nation's identity? Is it possible to seek identity in a language and through a language?
